Is This Something? is the blog of musician, writer, and designer Timothy Monger.

Inspired by Russell Davies’ book Do Interesting: Notice. Collect. Share. and Denise Wilton’s blog Walknotes, Monger launched his own weekly journal which collects personal observations about creativity, work, and life around his neighborhood in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Beginning in February 2024, he began posting in a Monday–Friday Weeknotes format on his website which also houses the blog’s complete archive. In addition to the Weeknotes series are occasional posts of focused content, often related to Monger’s music career.

Is This Something? joined Substack in September 2025 and will offer its posts there while maintaining the blog’s original site.
